Oils 20x24
Inspired by a peaceful section of beach I have visited several times over the past few years.
I worked on this and Ophidian simultaneously, which is why they have very similar color schemes. I am using layers of transparent color glazing as a technique. So far, I like the effect! I am going to try to have this one finished before Atlanta Comic Con. More updates soon!

Almost finished! I am trying different mediums with this piece, and have been mixing linseed oil with turpentine and Damaar varnish. So far, I like how this layering effect gives depth to the image. I think I’m going to try using sun thickened linseed oil, instead of cold pressed, in this mixture to even out the sheen.
I have also been using a heat lamp to speed up the drying process and mixing all of my paints with an alkyd solution.
