I am back from an amazing weekend at AWA. My very good friend Amber Chen shared a booth with me this year, so it was nice to have someone to sit with all weekend. Overall the convention was very productive. As with Dragon*Con, it was wonderful to see the familiar faces of both the other artists showing and of the con-goers. I also got to meet a lot of amazing people and see some pretty incredible artwork. On the last day on the event, my very good friend came to visit from Tennessee and we went to see “Wicked”. I have to saw it was an amazing production, and I was especially impressed with the props, costumes, and effects. On the other side…. sorry for anyone that came by booth that day. I usually try to stay for the duration of the whole event, but in this case, I ended up away from the table a little more than I was expecting to.
I am also happy to say that I received two awards at this convention. “The Pond” won best of show and “The Revolution” won third place.
Thank you again for everyone who came by out booth this year, and I am looking forward to next year!
